The teacher read a book called 'The Dandelion Seed' by Joseph Anthony. Then we made our own picture of a dandelion seed blowing around. After that we wrote our Acrostic Poem about Spring. We wrote the word SPRING down the side of our page and we wrote some words about Spring. Mrs Kerr published our best work. We displayed it on the wall in Room 1. We read our poems to the teacher and she recorded it on the computer. Press the play button and you will hear my voice saying my awesome poem.

I Read My Book and I Can Answer Some Questions.
At reading time we can read a book with Mrs Kerr and then we can look at the same book on the computer and we can do some activities with the letters and words. It's called P.M. Readers.
"I read the book, Baby Bear Climbs a Tree. I go on the laptop. I play a game and I got 3 golden cats. I got 1 grey cat because I did 1 wrong. Next time I do another game and I will get 4 golden cats and I will feel happy."

I Can Read Some Rhyming Words.
"I can read, 'he, me, we, see, she.' They are rhyming words. They are the same sound. Mum is helping me to learn my words at my house. She just helps me, not my cousin. I can read hard books now."

I Can Use the Illustrations to Help Me Read the Words.
I am learning to use the pictures to help me to read the words in my book. When I look at a new page, I look at the pictures first. Next, I look at the words and I try to read them. The pictures help me to read the words that I don't already know.
"I am pointing to the baby bears, called 'cubs'."
